Hotel David Whitney, Autograph Collection, Detroit

Hotel David Whitney, Autograph Collection occupies the restored David Whitney building in downtown Detroit. The $100 million renovation preserved the building's architectural details, including a four-story atrium and a lobby library with a fireplace. This property offers 15 stylish event venues for gatherings and a minimarket on site for quick snacks.

Each room has a 42-inch flat-screen TV and a bed with a pillowtop mattress. Some suites offer full kitchens, a washer and dryer, and views of Comerica Park or Ford Field. Rooms are allergy-free and include a coffee maker, refrigerator, and desk for guest convenience.

The hotel has three on-site dining options: Presley's Kitchen+Bar, The Library Bar, and WXYZ Bar with live music. Presley's serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner; The Library Bar offers cocktails, wine, and snacks late into the night. Guests can also order room service from Presley's (carry-out style delivery).

A 24-hour front desk, concierge service, and express check-in/check-out are available. The hotel is pet-friendly and provides pet bowls; parking includes valet and a parking garage with accessible spaces. A 24-hour fitness center with Peloton bikes and a shared lounge/TV area are on site.

The hotel is less than 311 miles from The Fillmore, Fox Theater, and General Motors Headquarters. It sits within walking distance of Comerica Park, Ford Field, Grand Circus Park, and Little Caesars Arena. The Detroit People Mover and QLine stations are outside the hotel, providing free light rail access to midtown.
